Our Mission

Advocating for the PEOPLE, not the REGIME

As a South Korean sharing the same history, ancestry, and language as North Koreans, hearing about the gap in the quality of life between the two populations has been shocking. Nearly 25 million people live under the poverty line in North Korea’s totalitarian regime, lacking fundamental human rights that unquestionably should be protected under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Voice Us stands in solidarity with North Koreans. We aim to empower them by sharing their stories in our journal, hosting various events to raise awareness of human rights violations in the nation, and rescuing young refugees safely every year.
